I have a question about a peace lily that I have. I received it after my father passed away about 5 years ago. Several repottings later, it is going strong, but it is SO BIG that I am unable to move it around easily. Is there some way I can divide it with minimal damage? Any advice?? [dunno]

Hi JediMom! I love your name ^.^ I donno the answer to your question, but there's a few people here who know a lot about peace lilies, and dividing them. They'll be around soon. I just wanted to say Welcome To The Forum though! [wayey]

YOu have three options with your peace lily:

1. Leave it as is and just water it more frequently.

2. Divide it by using a long sharp knife to slice through the rootball from top to bottom in between individual plant sections.

3. Root prune by slicing off one inch from the outer perimeter and bottom of the rootball. Put it back into its original pot and add soil to fill in the space.

Your instructions were very clear and well-articulated. I appreciate your response. Thank you so much!

Thanks, Phoebe, for the welcome.
