peonies

a neighbor gave me some seeds from his peonies,,, is it possible to start them by just planting them in the ground?

Seeds not tubers? Interesting. I've never seen them. Good luck with them.

oh yeah, but they take about 5~7 years to
flower..
And you need to do some funky stuff with them
to get them to sprout of over winter or something
with the new sprout..
I'll find where Id' read about it,
gotta go hunt it down...
I had actually looked it up the other day
for my self, as I had some..
I think I do anyways??
I didn't cut the flowers off as I usually would
and it looks like there's a couple of pods on there...
