I've previously noticed that a lot of peonies droop under the weight of the flowers, is there a peony with a stronger stem that won't need to be caged or tied up?

You could try one of the single flowered peonies. Most people have the big double flowered ones that have much heavier blossoms. I think I prefer the single flowers anyway.

I use the wire they sell for supporting tomato plants from the Hardware store. It has a round circle on top and goes smaller towards the bottom. Try it and see how it goes.

For this "New Year" help me to be kinder and more loving to all around me, I pray.

Or if you have the cash I'd go for the tree peonies. But they are pricey.

I'd stick with Singles, if you look for some of the smaller ones you might be ok
