Uhhh... I've never met a caterpillar that knew how to swim! Sorta looks like a cross betwen a leopard slug & an adder... (what the devil is going on in your pond?!!!)

Probably some kind of loach, but you're right... that thing is UGLY!

Okay, Mark took it out of the pond and said it was a snail out of its shell...I have a ton of those mystery snails in there....seems like a good answer to me....He threatened to throw it at me when he scooped it out and I would've beat him if he did---he thinks he's funny!

I'm surprised your fish didn't eat them. Escargot a la feast!!!

paulien, put out a dish (something that has very low sides and will be easy to climb into) with some beer in it...those things like the smell and will climb in and then die.

they look pretty funky when they shrivel up tho...if you can deal with it then that's the way to catch the bugger!
