We have recently planted 2 large (6-7 foot) Bird of Paradise. One of the plants has beautiful orange flowers & the other plant has white flowers. What do we do? or is the other a different breed? They get exactly the same amount of sun but are planted on either side of our front walk way.

There are white bird of paradise. There isn't anything you can do that's just the plant. I got a burgandy canna that I wasn't expecting this year too. I just consider it a blessing and keep on taking care of it.

You are really lucky over there in Cali, I bought a couple of rootstock plants to grow in pots (here in UK) and even in our hottest maddest summers al I ever get is maybe one or two leaves.

Sooooo envious...... [Smile]
