Choclatechip Pecanpie Bars
Tsp=teaspoon TBS=tablespoon
Line 15x10x2 inch pan with parchment paper allowing extra over sides to lift with…

CRUST
3 cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup sugar
½ tsp salt
1 cup cold butter (NO substitute)
Combine flour sugar salt cut in butter and press into pan

FILLING
4 eggs
1½ cups sugar
1½ cups light corn syrup
¼ melted butter
1 ½ tsp vanilla
2½ cups broken pecan pieces
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
With fork beat eggs, add next 3 ingredients stir until well blended; reserve 1 cup of this egg mixture; stir pecans & chocolate chips into remaining mixture. Pour over crust in pan.

SWIRL FILLING
1 can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated)
24 caramels (unwrapped)
Place sweetened condensed milk & caramels in microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for about 3 to 3½ minutes, stir until caramels are melted and mixture is smooth. Add this to reserved egg mixture. Stir well.
Spoon SWIRL FILLING onto filling in pan and swirl gently with a knife through pecan filling…

BAKE on 350 degrees until center is ALMOST set—about 25 to 30 minutes.

Cool. Serve directly from pan or when cooled completely use paper lining to lift from pan. (This usually take an extra pair of hands for me.)
