They will not grow into Granny Smiths it willbe one of its parent cultivar. It will take twice as long to find out, and the wait may not be worth it! The only way to get true to type cultivar is to graft. The tree from seed could grow into something very undesirable may not be worth the wait!

Last night I decided to snack on a Granny Smith apple. I clean it right down to the little seed casing. I opened up the star shaped casing and low and behold 2 of the seeds had started to germinate. I put them into 1 inch terra cotta pots in a little greenhouse I had from a seedstarter kit.
My question is: Do you think they will grow?
