I love the burl in the middle.
I guess that's worth some
good money to bowl makers...

The burl is about 200 years old. It was growing out of the roots of an ancient growth fir (stump #1) It's 2 ft in diameter and 3 feet tall. You could make a lot of bowls and clocks and things, but I think it's best use is yard art in the dream garden....

That burl reminds me of the ship in the first "Alien" movie.

I agree with you about leaving it as it!!
I'm one of those people that say leave it there.
But I have seen those bowls and what can be done to them can be equally as beautiful!!!
In the hands of a sculpture, it's beautiful.
But it is a gorgeous yard art too!

whats the vine in the 2nd one?
i like the 2nd one.that is cute.it could come live in my garden anyday,but would have to stop myself from turning into a water feature.ever since seen a piece of driftwood was a water feature have wanted one.it was so neat was in a GA garden in garden art junk art whatever GW calls that forum
