I have a small desert rose in a terra cotta pot...I've done some research about them and one site said that they like full sun, so I keep mine in as much sun as I have available (3-4 hrs). I've noticed that the leaves are yellowing (rather quickly) and so I moved it to more shade and the leaves continue to wither. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what to do.

Your desert rose - Adenium wants full sun - 6 hours or more. If it's getting less then you need to cut back on the watering. This site has lots of info.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
