So what is your opinion on house plants? Say someone asked you what you thought is the easiest to take of, prettiest, and most enjoyable house plant to get what would you recommend?

so many choices!!!!!!!!!!!!
what colors do you like?
What size plant are you looking for?
Where will it be placed sun wise?
The easiest and there are a huge number of them to choose from would be a coleus.
number one thing to remember is when it starts producing flowers pinch them off or the plant will die it is an annual.
Coleus

Hmm...let's see...
golden pothos
marble queen pothos
parlor palm
strawberry begonia
prayer plant
dracaenas
dieffenbachia (spotted dumb cane)
spider plants
Chinese evergreen
ficus trees
schefflara
...and the list goes on. But these are what I started with in my first plant-tinkering days. It got very addictive, to say the least!

I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.
