Tonya,
Good find! Wonder why they threw it out? Those are pretty plants, they look so nice bear a window. Yours looks like it's pretty healthy from the pictures.
I only wish I got there first

You need a large room for a plant that size.
Before I had furniture, I filled the house with large plants........
ha .......they were free.

DowntoEarth, The lawyer that threw them out was living in the upstairs of his office, and had just completed his new 14,000 sq ft home. He decided he needed all new plants. Silly rich people! I also got a Bird of Paradise, about 5 Pothos, another Ivy, 2 Boston Ferns and 2 Philodendrons. ALL were to be thrown away!
Dodge, We don't have a HUGE room, but it is pretty open and the plant LOVES where it is!

Tonya,
I just made a habit of saying "I run a hospital for sick plants," and for years, I got many donations......But not as huge as yours.
Once i had a gardenia in bloom about 4 foot tall.
Now I get most of my luck online.

I can't tell you how many plants I've rescued from people at work. They are either so dry ("I don't have the time") or water logged. But I don't understand throwing out healthy plants!!!
