As a beginner, what is the easiest fern to buy? There has to be some easy ones because a neighbor gave a guy neighbor one a year ago and he hardly pays it any attention except to take it in the house during the winter and it looks wonderful.

The Boston fern is probably the easiest of the ferns. A rabbit's foot fern is also relatively easy. However, keep in mind that all ferns must have moist soil and do not tolerate watering neglect.
