Ok so this is what I did I had these 10 gladiola bulbs and I wanted to move them so last night I dug them up. They were done flowering. They still have their leaves. They are now leaning in a pot in my garage bulbs down. what should I do with them I want to keep them and re-plant them next year. Should I cut off the green stuff? should I plant them back where I want them now? Help. Thank you.

Gladiolas are not hardy and won't survive your Michigan winters, so don't plant them now. Go ahead and remove the top growth and store the corms in slightly moist peat or something similar. You don't want them to completely dry out or they may shrivle up and die, so keep them just a little moist, but not wet.

Should I keep the pot with the peat& bulbs in a dark place? I heard that somewhere...
