What's your favorite summer-time tea?

I love drinking iced tea on our back patio in the summer time. My husband like lemonade iced tea and I love cranberry iced tea. What's your favorite??

Stephen's Lemonade Iced Tea (this is sugar free)

1/3 cup Lipton Diet Iced Tea Mix
1/2 "tub" of Crystal Light Lemonade
Just under a gallon of water
**We make 2 1/2 gallons at a time in those plastic bottles that water comes in that you can get in the grocery store. I tried to break it down per gallon. [lala]

Cranberry Iced Tea (also can be sugar free)

Bring 1 gallon of water to boil. Let 12 tea bags steep in the water for how ever long you want them to...I usually let them sit for 30 minutes.
Remove and drain tea bags. Add 1 can of Welsh's Cranberry Juice (I get the plastic can in the frozen section). Add it frozen and stir well. Refrigerate and serve cold. If its not sweet enough for you, add 1/4-1/3 cup of sugar to boiling water before adding tea bags.

My favorite summertime tea is plain old sun tea served over ice. I like it plain, no sugar, no lemon. I am boring lol [Big Grin]

I like tea made with fresh lemon balm. 3 or 4 sprigs maybe a foot long steeped in a pot of hot water or made like sun tea. With a little sugar. I make a gallon at a time.

Of course my favorite tea involves Jim Beam! Get a big, tall glass full of ice, fill it about 1/3 up with 7 Year Old Beam, then squeeze about half a lemon into it, and fill the rest of the way up with, uhh.....oh, yeah...ICED TEA! (Haven't yet figured out if this is tea with Jim Beam, or Jim Beam with tea [nutz] )

Don't drink one of those Jim Beam teas then hop on a riding lawn mower. Take my word for it!

[Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin] Good Lord, I probably mow about 2 1/2 acres and the majority of it is sloping and steeply at that. That would be a disaster. [muggs]

So Cindy, are you implying that you have personally experimented with mixing Jim Beam and riding lawn mowers? [thinker] (inquiring minds want to know)

Of course not! The tea glass won't fit in the drink holder on the lawn mower! [Big Grin]

LOL, GUYS! There are days I miss those good ole fashioned Long Island Iced Teas!!!!

I have been really into teas lately...my absolute favorite is called Summer Pudding from Whittards of Chelsea. It is out of this world! I'd be more than happy to send a bit out to anyone who would enjoy it. It is loose tea, so a tea ball is recommended.

I also have Lapsang Souchong....Jasmine.
