They're dahlias! Those are absolutely beautiful!
Have to be dug up here in Maine and stored for the winter.

Definitely Dahlias. The last red one is called 'Bishop of Llandaff'.
If you are in a zone where it freezes over in winter, you need to dig up the bulbs now, cut down the stems to about 4" above the bulb, shake off all the earth and leave them in a shed or garage to dry out. When they are quite dry, you need to stack them in a bag or crate or cardboard box and cover with sand or dry earth until you plant them out again in spring.
If you leave them in the earth, they could be eaten by moles, rats and other insects.
