Ok, now that I know that my variegated Peperomia Obtusifolia (baby rubber plant) is not a succulent proper, what type of fertilizer should I use when I start to fertilize it next month? Since it's semi-succulent (as I've read) is it ok to use succulent fertilizer? Or would general purpose plant food be ok?

I know this is not the answer you are seeking, but your Peperomia will do just fine with no fertilizer at all. But because you will fertilize it anyway, use whatever is available but only at half strength.

The importance of fertilizer is way over promoted by the manufacturers.
