I recently saw a pic of a BOP and absolutely fell in love with it. I'm wondering if there is any kind of rooting technique to start a new plant? If so, does anyone have a BOP that they are willing to share?

I looked online and saw that the prices for these exquisite plants are way out of my budget, but I just won't be able to rest til I have one. [Embarrassed]

During the summer my Walmart, Lowes and Home Depot all carry BOP. That is where I got mine for $10.00.

I've purchased a few BOP starts in 2 inch pots from Lowe's for about 2 bucks. Good luck, they are worth it!

When you all bought your BoPs, was it towards the end of summer, early fall and on clearance???
We don't have a Lowe's up here, but we have a HomeDepot and Wal-Mart. I haven't been able to really explore what HD has for plants, but our WM doesn't usually have much in that area and what they do have are pretty puny and not well taken care of.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I've seen BoP's at Home Depot, too, both the well developed guys and the little ones in the two inch pots, which go for about 2 bucks. Strelitzia is the name on the tag.
