I usually do mine outdoors, but the 1st time I did them I did indoors.I used those 30 ct egg crate jobbys filled with potting mix and sprikled seed on soil and keept moist.I moistened them under sprinkler so were good and wet and let set a few hours.then sprinkled over soil(also did shasta daisys) when the edges of mix(was a peaty/sandy/perlitey mix)started to dry I'd mist them or take out and turn on sprinkler.guess being your a yankee gardner.you could use your shower to sprinkle(sure beats lugging hose and probably have snow or is cold and freezeing) I rember they sprouted real easy and at about 3 inches slowed down some till warmed up but did fine once soil temps were 70s.
My tool bar had an item go MIA .....my internet location thinggy...So I can't link you to the cloeus page we have here on the site.someone will pop in and link it for you or can do a full GH forum search& can pull all the posts on cloeus. I will say this.....the seeds you have will not all be the same plant.you will have a mix.and just cause a seedling looks one way at 3 inches it will look different at 6 inches.shade brings out more colors, but most will grow in full sun if keept moist. There are some low growers and some larger ones that are 3 ft or better.I grew one as a houseplant years ago.It was about a 5 ft shrub.under a grow light and on deck in summer.I never let it flower so was keept in a full growing version.
Good luck!they are easy to grow!

I will age ungracefully until I become an old woman in a small garden..doing whatever the Hell I want!
