Search The Garden Helper:
Preheat oven to 350
2 1/2 quart baking dish
1 lb ground chuck
2 (28 oz) cans baked beans or pork and beans
16 oz jar salsa (your choice mild, med, hot)
1 medium onion chopped
2 Tblspn Brown Sugar
1 Shot(3TBlspns) Jack Daniel's whiskey Or more
1 shot( 3TBlespns coke a cola) if more JD equal amount of cola
3 TBlspns ketchup ( or to taste)
5 Tblspns mustard ( or to taste)
Tabasco to taste
salt and pepper to taste
Brown ground chuck , don't break up fine., leave some bite-sized pieces.
Drain really good.
combine Meat, onions, canned beans, salsa,brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, Jack Daniel, and cola,tabascco, stir
add salt pepper to taste,, stir well cover and bake for 2 hours untill onions are completely translucent, and sause is bubbly>> Yummy!!
I also add diced Hot links ( saute'd first to eliminate extra greasy fats this helps make the beans a little spicer and great for dipping tostido's in
