Deja vu????

quote:Wisteria seeds don't require stratification, but you need to nick or file the seed coat and soak the seeds in hot water for 24 hours to get the highest germination rate. (30 days @ 65 degrees)
Do you know if the seeds have to be cold treated? I put mine (that my friend gave to me) in the frige, just in case. Sorta makes sense that they would need Stratification,

quote:Yes! (& extremely interesting, how you para-phrased that quote!)
Deja vu????
Gotcha, Bill... (Scarification & a hot soak, not Stratification) Thanx!
"30 days @ 65 degrees" WOW! I'd better get right on that! I just hate those long germinating things! All it takes is 1 kid moving 1 tag, & I can't remember what's in which tray!
P.S. Thanx too, for your prompt reply!

It sorta makes sense that they would need Stratification, cuz they self seed, & I've sorta figured out that the majority of the time, self seeding plants do better if the seeds go through a "winter".
... (but DON'T write that down with ink, cuz it's only MY GUESS!)
