Nice pics, I remember the first year I planted my bleeding hearts, they never came up. Reason being I had planted them upside down. Ya live and learn. Now I have one that has to be separated. Gonna end up with quite a few off of it this year.
I've never had any luck with begonia's though. The front of my house is all shade. Have you tried Astilbe's yet. I love them.

I love Astilbe too! Mine get between 14-18 inches high. I have a red, white, and raspberry, but I would like to get a pink one this year. I just wish the blooms would last longer.

Hey where have I been???
Great looking soil you've got there Diane,
really, really looks nice...
I am sooooo happy for you and your soil,
and it stretches your soil out too,
giving you more dirt, and
Just remember one thing......
Realllllllly..
Go back and look at your bleeding heart.....

Stretch your arms out in both directions as far as you can, and that is how big a bleeding heart can get..
You see this big open space, and these wee little plants, and think, I can squeeze another one here and there...
(I am bad on putting stuff close too)
I love all the pots and containers..
and brick work...
Thanks~You very much for sharing those photo's...
