Thought I would share my funny discovery with you all. I had been noticing some strange things happening with one of my cactus and wondered what was going on. Today I am messing with my plants and got a closer look. It would seem that the cats have been rubbing against this cactus, and they left evidence behind.

The second picture is some of the cat fur I have gotten off the cactus, along with a whisker.

That's funny! They must be combing themselves on the spines.

I'm not laughing at you..But with you, as I just went through this same exact thing last week. It is a real pain to remove all the cat hair, I first used a soft bristled brush, and gently brush the cactus off first and hand picked what was left, then I turned it upside down under running water and rinsed if off good. Just some of the Joys of owning [kitty] [kitty]

Isn't that the truth comfrey? LOL! I plan to use a soft toothbrush and get some more of the fur off. Funny thing is they have done it with one of my other cactus too and that one has some sharp pokers on it.... well, actually it's missing a lot of them lately and I'm surprised I haven't heard the cats complaining about it [Frown]

Well maybe the "pokers" don't bother the cats like it does us. And they like it as a grooming tool...In fact they probable think that we put it there...Just for them to groom on it. [Big Grin]
