You're welcome. They look good like that. You realize that the only jades I've ever seen in pots were for sale in a nursery and I pass them by. They are so common in the ground here.
Great character in the pots. [thumb]

When I planted the "floppy" jade in the blue pot (picture at beginning of this thread), one of the stems was a bit too long, so I cut it down and put the stem in the pot too. It is already growing 3 babies out of the sides of the stem! Pretty good for just one month of being potted up! [thumb]

The babies are on the stem on the right.
I just cut the top part off the stubby stem on the left -
there were many air roots on it, and you can still see some in the picture.

I've never seed a floppy jade before. that's cool. Yeppers my jade has a bunch of babies in the pot with momma. The only problem being that they aren't babies any more and they are visiting the other pots in the area. I know I'm going to have to do some transplanting soon. It's just with all the seedlings there really isn't any room lol. Oh well, I'll have some happy people hanging around when I start looking for homes for them.

Very cool Lynne. My floppy jades are growing fast too, but no babies like you have. I have never seen a jade grow so quickly though. It is really cool!

Ok, I called it a "floppy" jade because that is one of it's characteristics, it flops instead of having the stiff look of other jades. I don't know what kind it is but it is really common here because it does grow so fast and easily. They do look nice and healthy. Lynne.

Tina, do you have a pic of the floppy jade? The leaf in the pic is not familiar.

This is the best I have right now.

This plant Usually has multiple trunks/stems and they don't have the strength to hold their own weight. So they "Flop". Great for spilling down hillsides. Or even hanging basket it you can control the growth. This one is about three ft tall and spreading even further.

I finally have an ID on the 'floppy jade' and it isn't a jade at all. It is Sedum praealtum. Zones 7b-11.
