they probably can grow in the US, but probably not in NY.....

I'm growing kiwi vines...they're not old enough yet to flower and fruit, I think it takes 2 or 3 years. And I'm not sure yet if one of them is male or not...I guess we'll see!
California should be a good place for growing them - they even come in different varieties so you can pick which one would do best in your zone.

You mean kiwi is a vine? I thought it was a tree.
I love kiwi - they're 50 cents each here which is crazy !
I'll bet I can grow one !

Kiwi IS a vine. And you have to have a male and female. They used to grow them near where I lived before we moved here. I used to live in Clovis, CA, by Fresno, so it should grow where you live too. Good luck!
