If you don't have a picture it will be hard for the experts to correctly identify the plant. Maybe you can search local nurseries for a plant that looks like it. Or maybe even catalogs..

Search The Garden Helper:
She has recently moved house to be closer to the rest of our family but in the move the plant got lost and she can not remember the name of it.
According to the information that I have been given it is from the Daliha family. It grows from a tuber to the size of a small shrub and has a dark green colour. Very fine foliage.
It flowers Nov-Dec (but that would be in the Southern Hemisphere) and has a lovely shiny red flower, with a bright yellow cup centre.
Basically, I would like to find out (if possible) what this plant is called. And whether it comes in other colours.
Any help in finding this out, or pointing me in the direction of someone/something that could help would be great!
