I have a bunch of big black walnut trees, and I don't want them, I've heard that people pay for them and will come take them down also. Does anyone know of anyone that would take them.

You can try to contact your local woodturners guild. Often times, woodturners love black walnut as it is a great hard wood for turning on the lathe. You can also contact anyone who makes handmade furniture.

There was a discussion of this on a show on National Public Radio called You Bet Your Garden. You can read highlights if you go to the site, Google NPR and check out the menu.
