Fruit Fritters

1 cup flour
1 1/2 teas. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 teas. salt
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 tart apple, cut into 6 sections
1 Peach, peeled & sliced
1 Orange, sectioned
1 banana, sliced
1 pear, peeled and sliced
Powdered Sugar
Nutmeg

Mix first 4 dry ingredient. Beat egg with milk and add to dry ingredients mixing well. Dip fruit into the batter & coat evenly. Fry in deep hot fat until brown. Drain & Sprinkle with powdered sugar and nutmeg.

Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
