Search The Garden Helper:
preheat broiler and position rack 6-8 " from broiler element
Butter a rimmed baking sheet or line it with foil
This works well with "Slenda brown sugar" just as well
4 medium banana or 8 nino(baby) bananas
cut med bananas in half then each half slice length ways in half with nino banana just cut in half length ways.
1/2 cup brown sugar lightly packed
1/3 cup salted dry roasted peanuts coarsely chopped
2 teaspns finely grated lime zest(2 Limes)
1/4 cup unsalted butter cut into small pieces'
3 TBLspns fresh lime juice divided( 2 and 1)
Place bananas cut side up on baking sheet sprinkle the brown sugar, then peanuts then lime zest evenly over bananas.. Dot them with cut up butter. then drizzle with 2 tblspns lime juice
Broil the bananas untill the sauce is bubbling and patches of brown appear on the peanuts and bananas.. approx 3-5 minutes.
sprinkle the remaining lime juice on and serve warm.....
These I make for my GrndSons as for helping me in the yard > great and Different on a cool day! Really good with a nice blend of Tea!
