I Don't have a brick house but I know you can put one up. you need a masonry bit for drilling.
Usually what I do is ask them at your local hardware store and they help out alot about bolts and what not that you will need.

I attached a window box to my brick house and I had to use a masonry bit to drill the holes, then I bought two support brakets for it to rest on. I got those at Lowe's or Home Depot, but I don't remeber which one since it's been about 10 years ago. Either place should have them. I will take a picture of it, but can't post it until I figure out why I can no longer upload pics to my computer. As soon as I figure that out, I will post it.

Starla, I was outside today looking at it and I remembered that I had attached two window boxes side by side because it was a double window. So I had used two supports for each window box.

They are hunter green and are right under the windows. I'm going to plant them this weekend- don't know what yet. But can't wait to get some colour in them!
