and I'm ready to go REdo my pond! YAY!

I hired a neighbor boy to dig my holes for me when I first put in the ponds several years ago , but now the boy is a man and no longer digs holes [Razz] [tongue] [dunno] LOL so I'l have to get out there and dig in the GA clay and rocks myself this time [perplexed] This should be interesting [tongue] [thumb] LOL

Starla, that is a LOT of rocks. But a fun project too. Any other kids in the area who may be willing to dig a hole for ya? Try contacting the Boy Scouts.

I've done my share of begging for rocks LOL. My sil lives next to a creek so I loaded up rocks from her place... my mil , mom, and gmom all live on the side of a mountain so I've gone over there loading up rocks, AND posted on freecycle that I was looking for rocks. *Sigh* it has been WORK! LOL.

I was able to get *1* of the small ponds in place today and *some* of the rocks in place before it started raining.

You can see pics in my album to see how things were... I have 2 hard shell ponds (purchased around 5 yrs ago from sams club) that I have built a wooden bridge to go in between... 1 of the ponds sprung a leak and needed to be fixed so since I had to drain it anyways, I decided to REdo the lay out.

I also added 2 smaller ponds that will spill over into the bigger ones.

It is a JOB and a half! BUT will be worth it once it's all done!

I've decided that instead of a straight line that the ponds were in that I will have them sort of make a corner or *L* in order to have a little corner to go into from my bridge... I think I will get a bistro set to put on my little island.

Hmmmmm decisions decisions not to mention W_O_R_K!

I'll post some pictures later.

Oh and NO unfortunatly we dont have any other youngun's in the area that could help dig [tears] [dunno] So it will be "me" [lala] that will have to dig it all Soooooooo it might take me a little bit to get it done since it IS Georgia clay a rocks AKA back breaking dirt!

It'll be slow work BUT worth it when it's done! [muggs]

Hmmm now to figure out how to patch up the other pond... it actually has a small crack in 1 of the shelves which produces a slow leak. [shocked]

Any suggestions?? [thinker] [nutz]

Thanks to all!! [wavey]

Take it easy, and don't overdo it okay? That's a lot of work for one person! Can't wait to see the results though! [thumb]

Me too! Looked at your pics. Looks good. Maybe hit a hardware store, like ACE and ask them what to use to seal the crack. I am betting they will have something. My guys here can always come up with a way to fix what I need.

Thanks! Please ignore the "floating" plants LOL I havent "planted" them yet since we are still arranging things and plus half of those will go in the other pond.

The other side will look like this as well with a bridge catty corner in the middle going to an island of sorts. I hope I can make it look like I see it in my mind [nutz] [thinker] [thumb]

Also right now the rocks are just sort of "there" once it's all done THEN it'll all be placed "just so" kwim LOL

I'm hoping dh will help me dig some tomorrow [lala] [angel]
