Last spring I purchased and planted a Magnolia x soulangiana in bloom. After the flowers faded and fell off the leaves came out. This year, I did not get flowers, but have leaves. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Leaves are a good thing! [Smile] It means it is not dead! The Saucer Magnolia can be very sensitive to changes. I was probably very well fertilized by the growers. This is a trick that they do to sell plants. The only problem is that a lot of the time the plants become almost dependent on the fert. Try ferting the plant with a good balanced fert, in the area of 20-20-20. The good thing about these trees is that they are not just limited to a spring bloom, they may have periodic blooming through the year.
