My books say that Calla Lilies are only hardy to zone 10, but my Mom had awesome five foot tall Callas growing outdoors in zone 7...
I think that zone 5 would be pushing your luck a LOT!

Bill, thank you for the help!
I knew we couldnt plant it outside, but i was wondering if we could pot it and just bring it out for the summer.

you can put it in a pot and take it in and out. i have a bunch of calla, cannas, and other lilies in pots... not due to the weather, but due to the lack of beds! the pots work great if they are deep enough, and have enough drainage.

My mom received a calla lily for Mothers Day. Its still blooming and pretty. Can it be moved outside or should it stay as a houseplant?
We are in Zone 5a.
Thanks much!
