:wavey:njoynit hope this helps a little. if you found 1 plant in the shade, are you sure it's yarrow?
PERENNIAL
FLOWERS.. Pink, white, red, yellow
LIGHT.. Full sun
WATER.. Drought resistant
SOIL TYPE.. any
PROPAGATION.. seed, division
HEIGHT.. 6"-4'
SPACING.. 1-2ft
USDA Hardiness zones.. 3-10
This perennial plant is a native to Europe and Asia. The 2"-6" clusters of tiny pink, white, or yellow flowers form form atop a 6"-4' spike.(depending on the individal species) The foliage is fern like. Achillea is drought resistant, and will grow in almost any soil. The plants bloom in June, but will bloom again in September if the dead clusters are removed.
Common Yarrow has fern-like foliage and can be used as cut flowers. The species has pink flowers but cultivars can provide white or red blooms. They grow in ordinary garden soil and full sun. Cut off old flowers to prolong the flowering period. Achillea may become a weed if not controlled. Propagation: Divide in the spring. The seed germinates in 2 weeks at temperatures between 65 and 75 degrees. Light is necessary for seed germination. Germination time indoors may be as little as 5 to 7 days.

I really need to get my USB port fixed on my computer so can use my camera on my computer...........I stay too busy at home/garden/life/fishing.I have taken photos of them both& is no difference in the flowers, but the shade one may be a lil brighter white in color and just a tad more flowers form. The shade one does get about 3 hours of sun in the morning as I watched it today(while looking 15 feet up at limbs I can't reach wondering how could remove them....even wondered if tree would hold me on limb while I cut it...all for some daylight.)
Maybe can have some pics of it up by end of June,or santa will show up tomorrow with a brand spanking new computer......NOT!
or my fairy god mother will wave her magic wand over computer and all will be well and happily after after.
