My Pompas Grass doesn't bloom. I planted it about three years ago and it's about 6 feet tall. I've given it moderate amounts of all purpose fertilizer. It gets about 6 hours of full sun and is in rich clay soil. It does stay very damp during the winter months. What can I do to encourage blooming?

[wayey] Hi Avigil, Welcome to The Gardener's Forum.

I don't grow ornamental grass, but I understand from Brian's Garden that Pampas Grass (Cortaderia jubata) requires several (4 to 5) years before they will produce blooms. You don't have to wait that long since your grass is already 3 years old.
