Hi, Mark!
Welcome to the forum! Everyone is really nice and helpful here.
I've been spraying the aphids off my roses with just plain water from the hose. I do know that roses don't like their foliage watered...so maybe honeysuckle is the same and it's just turning yellow from the amount of water sprayed?

I use this recipe for insects and fungus on everything.
Good Natural Insect/Fungus Spray
1/3 cup Murphy's Oil Soap (only this name brand will do)
1 Tablespoon baking soda
1 gallon of water.
Mix well and spray plants.
Hope this helps you!

Yes, the leaves have dark patches but it is where the leaves have dried out and become brittle.

Mark ....I don't know anything about honeysuckle but have had experience using soap and water solution for aphids on a lemon tree.....the first time I tried that I left the spray on....and yellowing leaves occurred....since then I spray with the solution and then rinse after a few hours. Sorry not much help.
