Checked the corn patch last night and found that some ears are developing corn smut. We will be picking and disposing of the infected ears this afternoon when Jim gets home from work.

My questions?

Is the corn that isn't showing signs of the smut safe to eat?

Should we move the corn patch next year?

You should move where you plant a particular veggie every year.

Danno, this is what corn smut looks like. It isn't very appealing at all to see...

Wrennie, thank you. We will be moving the corn patch closer to the house next year...
