The leaves on my apple tree are slowly turning yellow with dark spots on them. I examined them closely with a magnifying glass and could find no insects. Does anyone know what this condition is and how I can correct it? I've looked on the net, but I'm still not sure what it is--maybe blight?

It's not insects. It is more than likely rust. Happens to my crabapples also. Very annoying and not much you can do about it unless you can find the host plant, usually cedar and get rid of it.
