Does anyone know how high acid levels in dirt affect cucumbers growth? I'm just wondering because I've grown them for 3 years with great success and this year I've been mixing coffee grounds in the dirt. Now I see a lot of dead snails and some flowers germanating but the cucumbers have yet to show up from the seeds. Is it the coffee in the dirt affecting it somehow? [dunno]

No..I haven't had a soil test done. In fact I wouldn't know how to test it. Where can I get the materials to do so?

Soil test kits from the stores are not worth the money. Have a lab do it. Here KD...
