Could be a fruit. Didja notice any flowers on it? It's strange for it to fruit so early, esp from seed, but nature's like that.

I've been waiting for a flower to form. It does seem to be getting slightly bigger. I read that Pummelos from seed take about 5-8 years to mature before fruit forms!
Thanks,

I planted a pummelo seed (from one I ate) back around this February. It sprouted and is now about 10 inches tall. Yesterday, I noticed this odd round shape at the top of the plant. I immediately thought it was a small caterpillar rolled up, so I poked it. After examining it, it seems to be a small bud(?) But that doesn't seem possible as I just planted it from seed 4 months ago!
Any citrus experts out there?
Here's a pic.
Thanks,
Steve
