I just ran across this plant Orange Crown Imperial "Fritillaria imperialis aurora". And it says it has been shown to keep rodents and moles away. What a gorgeous pest control. It comes in red and yellow too. It says it is zone 3 through 8.

well, i am told that caster bean plants are good too, but not if you have children nearby because they are deadly poison. also, most rodents don't like daffodils, althought their bloom doesn't las through the summer (mine are done blooming )
