i'm gonna guess there aren't too many references here for carambolas because they only grow in south florida- like other tropical plants. are you in south florida? my mom grew one for quite a while- till they moved out. it was awesome to have your own tropical carambola tree with fruits! if i remember correctly though they were on the small side- not like those huge things i've seen at the grocery! she tried papayas too and we had a frangipani growing right outside the front window too. ahhhh------ i sort of miss those tropical plants.....

Search The Garden Helper:
I have not seen any references here to this particular fruit tree. I was wondering if anyone knew of a web site that logs where people grow different plants so people like me could get an idea of their true range potential? It sounds like something that would be popular if you could possible tie it into Google Map or something.
Thanks!
