Lavandula intermedia (also called lavandin) is a cross between English Lavendar (lavandula angustifolia) and Italian or Spanish lavendar (lavandula latifolia)

I've found 2 different methods for pruning. One says to shear lightly in April to remove the old flower stems and about 1 inch of the previous years growth. The other says to prune hard in the fall as spring pruning can remove flowering wood:

thanks - that is helpful. i think i'll prune lightly now, and perhaps hard in the fall depending on what it looks like.

what a great site this is!

Hi and yes, it is!

I just started lavender seeds L.augustifolis "Lady" in jiffy plugs over a warming pad under fluorescent lights. I was wondering if anyone else has had experience starting them from seed and might be kind enough to offer some advice.
