after discarding a few of my plants that recently died, i noticed a centipede crawling in the soil. is this the cause of my plants' deaths? and if so, how do i get rid of these nasty things? (especially since they're in my house!!)

2grnthumbs,
Do they look like these???
Centipedes
I have the first one on the left!
I mostly have them in my compost..
Or wooded area!
They help in the decomposition of rotting items, such as wood, compost, leaves, etc., in moist dark areas....
Or on things such as plants, after they die...
I personally don't know of them "attacking" live plants....only afterwards...
Where were your plants plants originally?Outside???
Can I ask what plants they were and what their symptoms were??????

yea, they look like the one's on the left (the one on the right is way too wierd looking!) but i found one in my jade plant that had rotted, and the other one was in another plant that is still going strong. the main reason i'd like to get rid of them is cuz i don't want them in my house. would a dose of insecticidal soap do the trick? and my plants have always been indoors, so they had to come in somewhere (which is pretty easy in my apt.)
