Does it flower the first year planted?

I've never planted it, but it's a pretty vigorous vine, I wouldn't be surprised if it did. Maybe somebody else knows???

It flowered the first year for me, but I grew mine from a layered rooted cutting off my mom's plant, not from seed.

Chrissy,

How did you root it? I know a source where I can cut some honeysuckle to root, but am not sure what the best way to root would be. What worked for you?

I rooted mine by going over to my mom's place with a large pot of soil...then I took a nice vine from her bush (leaving it connected to the mother plant) & stuck it into my pot. Once roots formed I cut it from the mother plant & took my pot home with me to plant my new honeysuckle plant in my yard. I made a little drawing to show you what I did below...
