I planted many varieties of the Canna Lilly. The first one came up with leaves and then produced one flower. This flower remained for weeks and then just like that kneeled over and stayed that way with a closed flower. The stalk became very soft, that's why it drooped over in a 'U' shape. The rest of them just produced lots and lots of leaves, but I haven't seen one flower yet. There must be about 10 bulbs that produced so far only leaves.
Where are the flowers? I water them and they always get sun. In fact last year they bloomed forever and never stopped until it got too cold.
