Does anyone have any ideas about making nice looking structures to stalk, beans and peas? I saw these gorgeous wrout iron ones at the nursery today, but 50 dollars each...don't think so!!! I need to make 3 or 4 of them. Do you think making teepees out of sticks or bamboo would work?

I'd like to put some sort of ornament on the tops of them maybe.

That's exactly what i do Rose. Then i start at the top and wind a piece of twine round and round to the base to give the plants a little extra grip. If you want an ornament on the top, use a length of the sticks in the middle vertically and a bit longer than the rest to fix it to. It'll also give the structure more stability:) I use tomato stakes about 2 metres long.
