Does anyone know what to use to fertilize this flowering bush? (This is for my neighbor)We live in zone 8. [gabby] I've heard it may like a slightly alkaline soil but also a rich well drained soil....hmmmmmm [dunno]

yellow potentilla prefers well drained loomy or sandy sor clay soil. PH of acid to alkaline is 6.8 -7.7

That will do it .......... [wavey]

Hi! And ty for the advice. I'll let my friend know!
She may not have a soil tester kit but I'm sure we can find one at the local WalMart or nursery.
