My fiance has a jade plant that is good size, and recently, for unknown reasons, he took all the leaves off. It is recovering fairly well in the top areas, but the leaves are not growing back along the stem and base and pretty much everywhere but the ends. Is there a way to make them grow back, or is it doomed to look funny?

why he would take the leaves off... but, no, the leaves will not grow back. you might get some branching, but no new leaves on the stalk where they came off. you can root the leaves though. that is easy. just lay them on top of the soil in the same pot, with the stems just slightly in the soil. they will grow up and cover the bare stem!
