I have reently bought 2 majesty palms and they were not in the best shape. when i got them they were stating to die off. The end of some of the leaves were starting to turn brown anddie. I was just wondering what was the best way to prune them?

Hi Scotty,

Unfortunately Majesty palms don't do that well as houseplants. The reason the leaf tips are turning brown is because it's a heavy feeder. You will need palm fertilizer and need to feed it monthly. Take a look at these sites for some helpful info. See #6 at this first site.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
