I can not understand how to register so I can use your forum. I have a palm (either Parlor Palm or an Areca) - have lost the tag. It was a gift at the time of my husband's funeral. It has developed very dark spots, then the overall color of green has lightened. Used to look so healthy and dark green. Would it sitting in water do this? It is in the pot it came in, then I sat it into a decorative pot. I water into the decorative pot, and there might not be enough drainage, so the roots may be sitting in too much water. I moved it from my front porch to get more sunlight - this has not helped much. I let it go longer between watering - this has not helped. Please help - it means quite a lot to me. Sally
